Baggage Restrictions

1. Carry-on Baggage

Allowance
Please note that more and more airports are strictly enforcing carry-on baggage regulations, in the interests of your in-flight safety and comfort. With limited cabin stowage space available on most aircraft, we strongly advise you to follow the specifications given below. By doing so, you will avoid the inconvenience of having to repack your baggage when you check in at the airport. In the interest of your own and other passengers' safety and comfort, bags exceeding these limits must be checked in. Carry-on baggage must not contain any dangerous goods.

In some exceptional cases we will ask our guests to check-in the carry-on baggage, mainly on flights operated with an aircraft of our fleet with limited space. Each passenger is allowed one (1) piece of carry-on baggage, total weight 3 Kilos (6.5 pounds). Standard size applies to carry-on baggage - 10 x 10 x 14 inches or 25 x 25 x 35 cm.

Stowing
Carry-on baggage must be stowed on board in the baggage compartment on board of the aircraft. Small personal carry-on items may be stored below the seat. Passengers are only permitted one piece of hand luggage.

2. Free checked baggage

Allowance
Your ticket fare includes the cost of transporting a certain amount of baggage. The free baggage allowance is 20 kg (44 pounds) per passenger per seat and varies according to the availability of space on board our aircraft. Your checked baggage may not exceed the weight and following dimensions, (length x width x height) 45" x 15" x 25" or 115 x 40 x 65 cm per checked piece of baggage, otherwise a flat rate will be charged.

Heavier baggage items cannot be accepted at check-in because of handling limitations. Such pieces must be transported as cargo or the contents must be split and packed separately.
In the event that “re-packing” is necessary at the airport, passenger will carry all expenses and use either special cardboard boxes or plastic bags.

Please note:
checked baggage must not contain any fragile, valuable, or perishable goods. Medical certificates, medicines, keys, and samples should be stored in your carry-on baggage.

3. Excess Baggage

With Divi Divi Air, you can also take additional checked baggage which exceeds the limits of free checked baggage allowance. The charges for this service are calculated according to the table below at art 4. Baggage shipped as cargo. If you know in advance how much excess baggage you will have, you can have the charges calculated by one of our check-in counter employees. We ask you to notify us at the time of booking, if you intend to bring along excess baggage. Due to the limited availability of space on board our aircraft, you excess baggage might arrive on a later flight.
We recommend you to check in 20 minutes prior to the recommended 45 minutes check-in time when traveling with excess baggage.

4. Baggage shipped as cargo

If your baggage exceeds the limits of free baggage allowance, and does not need to be carried on your own flight, we recommend our special cargo rates.
Please note that the passenger is responsible for all documents and charges associated with an unaccompanied baggage shipment (e.g. customs clearance and handling charges on arrival).
